Bo city, Sierra Leone- 10/03/2026:   The Bo Municipality is currently witnessing significant improvements in its road network as grading works ongoing on approximately 15 kilometers of roads across several communities.

The project, being funded by RMFA and implemented by the Bo City Council, is part of ongoing efforts to improve road accessibility, enhance transportation, and support economic activities within the municipality as 2026 being year of robust service delivery by the council.

These roads connect several neighborhoods and play an important role in easing the movement of residents, traders, and motorists.

Mayor of Bo City, Kobba Musa said the grading exercise aimed at improving road conditions by leveling surfaces, clearing drainage paths, and making the roads more motorable for both commercial and private vehicles.

On his part, Chief Administrator, Henry Powell stated that the initiative forms part of the council infrastructure improvement agenda for 2026. He assured residents that the works will continue until all selected roads are properly graded and accessible.

Residents in affected communities have welcomed the development, noting that the roads had long been in poor condition, especially during the rainy season. They expressed appreciation for the intervention, stating that the improved roads will help reduce transportation difficulties and boost business activities within their communities.

The grading project is expected to significantly improve mobility within the municipality while laying the groundwork for future road development initiatives in Bo City.
